This picture was actually taken during a Cthulhu-inspired LARP some time ago. A friend of mine showed it to me and I immediatly knew that I wanted to work with it.
What I actually did was increasing the contrast, seperately on the face to underline the eyes a little more, and desaturate the entire image, except for the red blood.
I tried to give it a more painted look which sort of worked, though there must be a more satisfying way to achieve that.

It's fascinating anyway how different Lix, the dead lady you see here, can look on different occasions and pictures. Well, anyway, I am grateful she let me use this and who knows, might not be the last time you saw her face here...
